Bethany Beach has almost a mile of beach lining its shore, with its own Boardwalk, and a Bandstand providing free family entertainment all summer long. Trolley cars run throughout the small town from the Friday before Memorial Day through mid September, continuously between 9:30 am to 10:00 pm. during the summer, for only 25 cents a ride, and this helps with the sometimes limited parking. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and some unique gift shops to browse around. A large play ground and park in the center of town will keep the children happy, while the teenagers can play basket ball at the nearby court.
Bethany's spectacular 4th of July Fireworks Display will rival any large city's, and thousands gather on the beach and adjoining side streets to enjoy the evening.

The Town of Bethany Beach offers concerts, movies, kid's activities and bonfires on the beach, all summer long.
The Bethany Beach Nature Center, on Route 26, is open year round and offers activities for kids of all ages to encourage awareness of the Inland Bays and Wetlands in the area.
